The tale of The Cutaway began 6 years ago when 4 boys, from the leafy part of London,   started tinkering with instruments in a bid
to impress those they were inspired by. An eclectic clash of interests made for some intriguing music, a lot of which never made it to the
public ear, but remained hidden away in a small drafty garage in the South West of London.

That same garage saw the group hone their distinctive musical style over the coming years earning them such praise as
creating ‘delicate acoustics and haunting melodies' (The Observer). They have since explored the many wonderful venues of
the big city and developed a loyal and raucous following, their live shows often descending into 50 minute sing-alongs.

Most excitingly, however, are the new additions to the line-up. Hearing Chrissie sing one of their tracks one evening was enough to
ask her to join as was Emma's original contribution to the recording of the bitter sweet love letter ‘Concreta'.

So now, as the 6 piece family that they have evolved into, The Cutaway continue to paint the suburban landscape with music and
sounds sweet enough to make your ears smile.
