Sam is a dedicated and passionate director of film and theatre, based in London. He began working as a carpenter's assistant in a prop makers yard before finding himself on location shoots as a standby art assistant and art department runner for several high profile production companies.

He took the long way round by training at the Central School of Speech and Drama in directing and co-founded visual theatre company
Parrot {in the} Tank in his first year. During his time at Central, he continued to create short films- his first Ray Who? was screened at the ICA in 2007.

He has since written and produced several short films and music videos, one of which was screened at the BFI's Sex in Film Festival and the Portobello Film Festival. A commission with Channel 4 opened his work up to a larger audience and even picked up an award from the prestigious SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. Two of his very short shorts have also opened up nights at the IdeasTap funded-Cineroleum in Clerkenwell.

He now currently writes, directs and shoots for several production companies such as The Viral Factory, Cake, TBWA, Man & Hatchet and Denizen.

He also in post-production with his newest short film The Horsemen starring Richard Ridings and Tom Coombes.

Sam looks for good old fashioned English silliness with his skewed view of life, and can guarantee in bringing a unique and honest mind to whatever project he is undertaking.
